Enduring with Hope

When hardship comes, have you ever wondered how you’ll make it through? Maybe you’re walking through a season of deep suffering, or perhaps you simply feel worn down by the relentless pressures of everyday life. Even in calmer seasons, we all know what it feels like to search for hope when darkness begins to close in.
So what do we do when suffering comes?
In this encouraging and Scripture-filled message, we will explore the beautiful path God lays out for us in the midst of affliction—a path that leads not to despair, but to endurance, proven character, and lasting hope. God never wastes our pain. Even in the hardest seasons, He is with us, strengthening us, shaping us, and faithfully working all things together for our good and His glory.
Our speaker, Sara, has personally walked through deep valleys of heartbreak and despair and discovered firsthand that the God of all hope meets us in our darkest places. Through God’s Word and her own journey, she will share powerful truths about how to endure life’s trials with steadfast hope anchored in Christ.

And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.  Romans 5:3–5
Meet Sara
Sara’s greatest joy in ministry is walking alongside other women and sharing the comfort she has found in Christ. Her own journey began with years of struggling with clinical depression and shame, which transformed when biblical counselors stepped into her life. Through them, she learned how the love and power of Christ could lead her into true freedom. Since 2015, Sara has delighted in helping others find that same path through teaching, speaking at conferences, and counseling.
Today, she is a certified counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and serves on the leadership board of the Albuquerque One-to-One Biblical Counseling Training Center.
For 35 years, Sara has shared life with her husband, Doug, spending much of that time as a stay-at-home mom to their three beautiful children. Now that her children are grown and married, her family has expanded to include three wonderful "bonus" children and two precious grandchildren. She and Doug live in the mountains just east of Albuquerque, where they enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. Above all, Sara treasures her family and delights in every moment they spend together. She is also a collector of dad jokes and Spurgeon quotes, and she loves long, deep conversations with dear friends.
